- Notes:
While co-oping during my third year at RIT, I worked for a local construction agency and assisted them in redesigning their corporate website. This was probably my largest project, running the length of a 40 hour work week for nearly 2 months. Everything had to be redone and I, unfortunately, had no assistance but the entire process was incredible and I learned a tremendous amount.
The site was originally done in Cold Fusion, static HTML, and required multiple people to update a simple news item or post an awarded project. I scrapped all of it and redesigned the entire site from the ground up; design, layout, database, code, usability/testing, tweaks, and finally deployment upon the completion of my co-op in September. Everyone was extremely satisfied with the outcome. I have since gone back to consult for minor additions and modifications.
The site was developed in ASP with an Access back end (budget limitations and size of the company permitted me from going the route of SQL Server). All graphics were hand done in Photoshop. Some of the sites features include password encrypted members login area, IP/user log-in restricted administration pannel, instantly updatable news, quotes, bids, and photo gallery, and a dynamically generated PDF newsletter based on user input.
